Garuda a mythical creature [link]
This specific species of Garuda also known as the Elavarasan Garuda is actually a subspecies.
When we collaborated on this style for the Garuda we used this character as inspiration for the design [link] He is a character from a Korean web comic.

The Elavarasan Garuda is the same size, body shape, and color pattern of any bird under the rainbow. This means if they resemble a humming bird they are the size, shape, and colors of a humming bird, and if they resemble an ostrich they are as big as an ostrich with the same color patterns. One of the distinctive things about their wings, the wings resemble the pattern and shape of the bird they are. There are also two claws at the end of each wing almost like a little pterodactyl or something.

Their hair normally resembles the color of the bird they are as well. It can vary with feathers sticking out of it depending. On top of their heads is a pair of horns, the horns can come in many shapes and sizes so go nuts. The only other form these little guys can take is bird form which still has horns and the little wing claws but makes it easier for them to hide from humans.

The tail is feathered and also resembles the shape and pattern of the bird they are born as. They also can have feathers on their chest lower legs and crotch LIKE BODY HAIR! Females tend to have feathers on their chest kinda like a feather bikini. Their small feet are bird like or more accurately dinosaur feet with 3 to 4 toes facing forward.

When they reproduce, the baby will hatch as a random species of bird. It does not matter if say, the mother is an eagle and the father is a woodpecker, the baby will end up being a flamingo or whatever the hell it just happens to hatch out as. The babies will always be a random species of bird.

Behavior of these Garuda are similar to fairies. They live in an isolated area of the world called Elavarasan thus their name. The Elavarasan Garuda can use magic live in trees and generally behave like little bird people. Their magic is mostly earth based but some have stronger forms of magic, such as the Oracles for example. It is rare for a Garuda to be born an Oracle though. Their various body parts can be used for potions and amazing cloaking charms. As a result they hide from humans, seeing as most of them just want their body parts to use. They are often mistaken for fairies, but if you call them that though they will get highly offended. Yet another reason they dislike humans.

Elavarasan is rather hard to get to. It is a tropical forest surrounded by jagged canyons and mountains. Not only do the mountains of the landscape protect them but before you even reach the Elavarasan mountain range you have to cross a vast desert on all sides. But if you do manage to make the trip there be aware there are large feathered snakes, horned crocodiles, and winged baboons (like the Wizard of Oz) that patrol the land and can be dangerous.

So go ahead! Make one of your own. The Garuda is a mythical creature. Heck, go make your own variation of the Garuda! 8D
